EMULATION TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCES HIGH-SPEED MOMENTUM™ CABLES
Coax cable with MICTOR® connectors integral to system designers’ debug and
signal monitoring
SANTA CLARA, Calif, October 4, 2004—Emulation Technology (ET), announced
today their new high-speed, Momentum™ coax cables with 38-pin MICTOR®
connectors. The cables allow designers’ easy access and probing capability
for individual and hard to reach signals in high-speed electronic designs.
The cables come in lengths of 6, 9, 12, or 18 inches, and are available with male-to-male, male-to-female and female-to-female MICTOR connectors.
THE MICTOR CONNECTION
High-speed designs and increased circuit complexity have encouraged designers’ use of the 38- pin MICTOR connector for monitoring high speed
signals during the design and debug stage of an electronic design. Using ET’s Momentum cables reduce capacitive input loading and improve isolation
between adjacent channels when used with a logic analyzer or oscilloscope.
SIMPLE, SECURE CONNECTION
Momentum™ 38 AWG micro ribbon coax high-speed cables enable designers who
have integrated MICTOR connectors into their design to simply plug one end
of the cable into the PCB with the appropriate mate to the connector. The
other end of the cable can be connected to a logic analyzer, oscilloscope or
other test measurement instrument.
