If you are need to remove and replace the positioning frame on our screw lock BGA sockets, this is an application note for you. The following procedure leads you through the steps for safely performing this procedure.

REMOVAL

1. Using a thin knife blade (Swiss Army Knife or equivalent), push the blade in between the socket base and the positioning frame.
2. Turn the blade to lift the frame away from the screw inserts.

Replacement

1. Once the frame has been removed, place the new frame over the screw inserts.
2. Push the frame down onto the socket base.
